All students are required to have a parking permit to park at any of the parking lots for both Fremont and Newark campuses. Ohlone College continues to recognize the challenges posed by COVID-19. ALL VEHICLES PARKED ON OHLONE COLLEGE CAMPUSES MUST VISIBLY DISPLAY A VALID OHLONE PARKING PERMIT. Student Semester Parking Permits are available for purchase 21 days prior to the start of the semester. Student Permits are good for only the single semester for which the permit was purchased. There are no free replacements for lost permits. If you lose your student permit, you must purchase a new one. Please see our parking regulations page. Student Semester Permits are non-refundable. You must be registered as a current Ohlone student to purchase a Student Semester Parking Permit. To purchase the Parking Permit, please go to Student WebAdvisor Login. Once logged-in, click on "Order Parking Permit" located under "Academic Profile." This will direct you to the parking permit order form. Please ensure all information is correct and complete. Incorrect or incomplete information will prevent the ordering process from being completed and will cause a delay in obtaining your permit.
Upon completing the purchase order, you should received the option to print a temporary permit if permits are required within 10 days of your order. You must print and visibly displayed this temporary permit as directed until you receive your actual permit. The temporary permit is valid for only 10 days from the date of purchase; however, you should receive your semester permit in the mail within 3-5 business days. If for any reason you do not receive your semester permit in the mail prior to your temporary permit expiring, contact Campus Police for assistance. Continuing to use a temporary permit after its expiration date will subject you to a non-refutable citation and fine. To purchase a Motorcycle Permit, go through the same process as ordering a Student Semester Parking Permit and select "Motorcycle." After purchasing your motorcycle permit, a clinging type permit will be mailed to you. Display this permit on the motorcycle in plain view. It will not cause any damage to the finish.
However, if you prefer, you may contact Campus Police at (510) 659-6111 and provide your motorcycle and permit information. Your information will be placed on the motorcycle log in lieu of displaying the temporary permit. Effective 2020 Fall Semester, discounted Fuel Efficient Vehicle Parking Permits are no longer available. Carpool Permits must be acquired in person. Only one student parking permit will need to be purchased for the carpool group). The Carpool Permit (hang-tag) may be transferred only among the vehicles (maximum of 4) which are registered for that particular carpool. The permit must be visibly displayed while parked on campus. Note: It is the responsibility of the carpool members to ensure the permit is visibly displayed in the vehicle. Any misuse will result in applicable citation/fine and the Carpool Permit being rescinded. Ohlone College employees are issued a staff or faculty permit through the Fremont Campus Police Services Office.
All parking permits are the property of the Ohlone Community College District. Staff and faculty parking permit must be returned to Campus Police Services immediately upon termination of employment. Lost or worn (illegible) staff/faculty parking permits may be replaced through Campus Police Services. There is no charge to replace a damaged permit (due to normal wear) or stolen staff/faculty parking permit (police report required). There is a fee to replaced lost or damaged permits (due to mishandling or other avoidable causes). Visitors or student who do not wish to purchase a semester permit, must purchase and display a valid Daily Parking Permit. South Parking Structure at the Fremont Campus. Purchased Daily Permits are valid only for the date purchased and can be used at either of the campuses. Hourly Permits are valid only in Hourly Parking designated stalls. Hourly Permits are valid for a maximum of two (2) hours only. Hourly Permits can be purchased at the kiosk parking permit machine in parking lot P at the Fremont Campus. Guest Parking Permits are available to those who have been invited by the college for official business. Requests for a Guest Permit must be submitted from an Ohlone College Employee to their Dean or Director who has authority to approve and access the internal Guest Parking Permit System. Approved Guest Parking Permit requests will be provided a PDF Guest Parking Permit which must be printed and visibly displayed in the guest's vehicle. Guest parking permits are only valid for the date, time, and location(s) specified on the permit. Disabled Parking Placards (permanent or temporary) must be displayed while parking in handicapped parking stalls. Disabled Parking Placards are obtained through the California Department of Motor Vehicles. Ohlone College does not issue Disabled Parking Permits/Placards.
